Are you sure there are no wires going into the Thunderheart unit? That looks like a cam sensor to me.

3 wires .... one (black) goes to the speedo (I have no tach) .. one goes back underneath... and one goes off to the ignition side and down..

Your good. Those Thunderheart ignition boxes are really good. I would put a piece of electrical tape over the computer port plug to keep moisture out.
