I'm with HMAN, have had my Adjure apart many times with no issues re-assembling it. I also lube the nylon rope and it slides around the bucket / ring easy. You do need to add pressure to the light lens when feeding the rope.
My biggest concern is if a new one will crack like the stock bucket. One reason I was looking at the Headwinds is because of it's Spun billet aluminum housing I'm thinking stronger. Any ideas on that?
I had a Headwinds crack on a bike that comes in my shop. It cracked where the bracket mounts to the bucket. You couldn't see the crack on the outside, but it was really loose. I JBwelded the inside of the bucket, and it has been holding for almost 10 years now.
