Every thing else aside, Jessie said they gave him a date that the product would be shipped and they did not come through. I personally think that if it was beyond their controll that they should have explained and appoliged for it, and been done with it. Theirs nothing I hate worse than a lier or a thief.

They have a great product that is built from scratch and they know it. They just called you out and told you how it is. I can respect that. I'd be a little ticked but after building a custom Camaro from scratch things don't always happen within time lines, ESPECIALLY when it's custom.

What they gave you, timewise, was an ESTIMATE. Sometimes estimates are wrong. Sounds to me like the chromers, or whoever "downstram" screwdwed up, and that isn't something RB can control.

Also, I just read the "Eat Shit and Die" page, linked from the above post...funny shit. They obviously tell it like it is. I think I like them even more now.

I'll tell you what this is really all about.......we want what we want when we want it..............and if we dont get it we jump up and down and stomp our feet,like thats gonna change anything.....you are makin a freakin mountain outta a molehill...did your mechanics buisness go bankrupt cause these pipes werent there for your motor.......That company is a specialty company that their main goal is to supply you with the best product possible,if you want a product that is available at anytime well i guess youd wind up like most of us and have V&H Big Radius pipes....now if you get the pipes and they are substandard well then come on back and bitch about that but cause they are late gettin the pipes done?????they lied to you?????people take being blundt as being rude,and thats the whole problem with society today,is everything has been candy coated for way too long...........i am on the same page with the company ,however understand your pain,you will move forward from this with hopefully very little therapy,medication and maybe just a hug..........cowboy up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy freaking shit..... I just don't understand some people.

Listen up. I do not care if the pipe took a year to complete if they would have simply said that. I am mad because I was lied to. It is obvious the person I talked to did not put any effort into finding an answer for me.

I do not need RB Racing, I have went my entire life without them and am prepared to live a very fulfilling life without them. However, the prick who owns the company needs me, and many more like me to spend money. End of story....

This pipe is not magic. Dyno's show it is slightly better then off the shelf pipes. I don't care what you make... a pill that will make my dick twice as big over night, if you act like a prick I do not recommend doing business with you.

KnotSo... I agree with the information that was in their reply too, but most of it was really a babbling rant that didn't apply to my original complaint. I did not ask them to adhere to any type of schdule, ever! I almost believe this entire reply is copied and pasted in every email reply they send out. Also, you cannot expect me to believe that this lady doesn't have the ability to track down a part without stopping production of the entire plant, or that some how her doing so slows production. Give me a break.

Txchopperguy... I also reccomend that you read the posts very carefully again. When some one says "your pipes will ship on Oct 22nd" this is not an estimate.

T Byrd, I am glad that you have a good head and are not drinking the same water as some of our fellow forum members. :up:

It took Hooker headers six months to get my headers for my '72 mach 1.

They said three weeks when I ordered. :argue:

Ordered a bar from Ginz choppers. They said next week. Two weeks later no return calls or emails. Last email was give me info or cancel the order.

They responded with the powder coaters oven was broken. Cool. I missed having it for a show and shine show, but knowing what is going on is key.

In my opinion not knowing WTF is going on is way worse than a prompt, we are behind schedule feedback.

Custom is custom. If you want it now get the off the shelf stuff. It takes time and money to be different from everyone else.

As far as R&B is concerned, when you read through the whole site, I envision the company as two older cranky people selling one of a kind creations to fund their life.

I've never met the owner and I do not speak for them. My best friend works with them. He told me that there's only 3 people who work for RB Racing. It's a very small company with huge demands. They work 7 days a week including holidays and they make a great product. All orders are complete withing 36 hours and set to chrome/powder coat. They personally drive all pipes to and from the chromer who is about an hour and a half away. From what I'm told, the owner is not in this for the money. He wants to make the best product possible and he wants to do it his way. He doesn't sound any different then most bikers, musicians or artists because we're all a bit stubborn. The man spends many hours researching and reading technical shit that is far beyond most peoples' comprehension. I support RB Racing because I understand where he is coming from. Again, it's a well made custom pipe and they do the best they can to ship it as soon as possible. They have no interest in delaying an order.

If that was the style of pipe I desired, I would buy from them.

For my Street Glide I like the balanced look of two pipes. I am losing a little power, but the look is more important to me.

They make a 2:1 pipe with a ghost pipe which is a dummy pipe simply to maintain the look you are going after. It is actually a very common design for the bagger style bikes.

Just an update if anyone gives a shit: The pipes were mailed the same day I got a response back. If the lady would have gotten off her ass and simply did her job I could have avoided this whole thread.

Stlmikie, you're kind of a turd as of lately. This thread's topic is customer service and the lack of. If you enjoy being bullshitted and lied to about a part you ordered, thats great. :loony: I however, do not.

Nawww they're not spiteful people. I think they'd rather cancel an order then mess with someone's shit. Remember, it's the final product that speaks for their reputation. Let us know how you like it once you get it on the bike.

RB has a LONG history of suspect customer service. They do make a great product, but don't expect any fluffy stuff from them. It took me 4 months to get my pipe from them, and it had some chrome defects on it too. I asked about the defects and I got a reply email from them that will make Toad's look like a nursery rhyme. There is a quote on the Internet somewhere with him talking about "no easier way to make money than to turn $25 worth of metal into $600 product". Don't get me wrong, I would get another one of their pipes, but just realize who you are working with.
