What else do I need? 600 Cam

Bought the S&S 600 cam. I have TP heads. What else do I need? Roller Rockers? Red springs? Any advice appreciated.

Tim S & S told me I need to change the springs, and the roller rockers would really help but to get what the cam can do I needed to bump the compression, they said the cylinders are a little long due to emissions and that at T.D.C. the cylinder and the piston needs to be flush... to raise the compression. thats the only reason I haven't got into it yet. Oh yea a new programmable EFI (EFI bike)... let me know what else you run into.. mike

Id start first with some S&S rocker boxes with the S&S roller rockers . Then check to see if your gonna need new tappets / springs.

I'm carb'd. I think there may be some differences in our motors other than carb vs. efi. But not sure. Thanks for the info.

S&S rocker boxes and roller rockers, your springs are more than likely already have the red stripes. You'll need to re-jet also and pipes if you don't already have them....

Some, not all, have had issues with clearance that has caused premature wear.

Just got off the phone with S&S. They reccomended changing to S&S rocker boxes and roller rocker arms. He did say the springs could handle up to a 600 cam. Also reccomended I zero the heads.
