What does the welded name mean on the back side of my tanks ?

You better stay on topic. There's a new sheriff in town who might take you to the wood shed.
Now on topic my tanks had some stuff welded on the bottom also. Maybe it was the name of the dumb ass who left the welds full of pinholes.
Not sure of the answer, but BDM has built over 29,000 Big Dogs.
Might want to toss up some pics so we can see the issue.

I've painted quite a few Dogs, and had the tanks off quite a few more, and have never noticed anything like this before.
And I worked at a dealership/service center and I agree...never have seen this before.
That’s cool, Maybe you have the only one off like that. Nothing under my tank.
Might want to ask the previous owner if he knows. Could be the owner (initials BD) rode 2064 miles to Sturgis one year.This is pic of my tanks.

Well guys, confession. I am a terminator T-1000. I went into the future, 2064 to be exact, and left my initials on this guys tank at Sturgis. The bike was then sent back to the past, and now old boy owns it. I know, it was a silly prank but I was bored ok?

This all started when I first bought the 2000 Bull Dog Chopper and knew it had been sitting for a long time, the guy I bought it off said he bought it off his dads friend that needed some money for a hospital bill, he did not want it, he already had a Iron Horse chopper that cost him a bunch and I guess he just bought it to help the old man out,, The miles were a little over 1000 miles on the odometer and being 17 years old, I had noticed when I got it home that the cross hose was rotten and the hose was coming apart in my hand so I removed and flush both tanks and replaced all hoses and clean the petcock.
That's when I noticed the"Sturgis" and the other marks on the tanks, 2064 BD . I took a photo so in case I needed this info. And you can't see any of this when it's all together.
The other day I was listening or watching something can't remember
and they were talking about Big Dog Choppers and my ears perked up

And they were talking about when they were making these Awesome Machines they were so individual that they were giving them there own individual names. That's when I
went crazy trying to find the photos that I took. My Fn Big Dog's Name is STURGIS
