Dave... don't use shine on your tires.... you're asking for trouble... my $0.02
Could not agree more!

I remember to this day where I was at after I shined the tires on my last scooter when I had to slam my foot into the pavement to save it from sliding out from under me. Thankfully I was not going to fast when I turned left through the light by the ball park at Hadley and Old Hickory Blvd. I knew when it started slidding ( front tire ) exactly what it was that caused it. I need the tires to Stick to the road, whatever it is I am driving or riding. I don't shine any tires on anything , clean is good, shiney and road rash on hiney..:up:.

my $0.02 as well.

Let me qualify this statement first;
Dont get it on your paint!
But a little brake fluid on a rag will remove dry rotted surface rubber and leave behind clean rubber that looks good because its clean and is NOT dangerous to the tire or your health... just your paint.

couldnt tell you what the MSDS saysLOL just happened by accident one time while I was busy spilling and destroying my paint I was pleased at least with the tire afterward. In the midst of adversity gotta look for those little bright spots...
