What do you think would be a fair offer on this bike?

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I have been looking for a project bike and found this one. It is an 03 with 25,000 miles on it. It has had some motor work done to it, the trees are not the stock rake,it has set for four years since the wreck.it is 900 miles from my home so I just can't go look at it. There have been some repairs made to the frame. I would be taking it to the bare frame and doing a complete restoration on it.

What do you think is a fair price?

$6500.00 ok let's break it down. Bike has parts break down as such: a 107S&S on the used market it's still a $3000.00 motor, tank & fenders $1000.00, rims. $1000.00, (handle bars, triple tree, forks, controls, transmission and primary $1500.00-$2000.00) so $6500.00 is a fair price.

While I agree with you're parts prices I have to look at it differently. We just saw a pristine chopper sell on this forum for around 13 or 14,000. How much can I pay for a bike and totally rebuild it? Paint is at least 2000.00 the aluminum needs polished possibly by a shop. It will need tires, all new bearings every where, front end parts, brakes rebuilt, all the cables and brake lines replaced, carb rebuilt, the frame should be magnifluxed since it was wrecked and who knows what is lurking in the primary and transmission.

Keep the comments coming guys. I appreciate them.

That's crazy riding the bike home in that condition. 10K is way too much! I'd have to agree with 4K. Which spot on the frame was repaired?
