I'm thinkin about getting one of these for the dog. I miss my spike, but they're played out I think and I'm not a freakin fan of the stock one, plus the chrome is starting to get funky on the top of the POS. So, these are cool, plus my first name is King and I have a crown that's pretty similar on my back....he's got them in brass, polished or chrome, all the same price.

If ya want an honest answer...I don't like it. It looks kinda cheap. I wouldn't pay $300 for it. Is your first name really King?

yes, and it's CNC billet with a vortex tear drop. It's a v stack basically and the crown keeps your pant leg from getting sucked in. Cool design, hot bike just did a big writeup on it, comes out next month I think, makes good power. I'll find a pic of one of his bikes with it on...

its certainly different although wouldn't be my first choice - you say its a v stack - are you happy to run with no air filter?

not sure, he says that's all he runs on all of his custom bikes and hasn't had any problems, some have 40k on them too...

Look at how dirty our air filters can get. I know I would not want that shit getting into my motor.
It soes look different from anything else though.

Well I like the look, it's personal to me, I was more curious about the design and what you guys think. It may add some HP, i'm not after that, just something different.

As far as air filter, I have 8k on mine and it still looks brand new except for some fuel on the bottom of it that I guess comes from gettin on it hard some times...who's running a v stack?

I have one. Stainless Creation, It does alright. Serious topic of conversation. For the longer hauls I switch it out and put the air cleaner and all the other shit back on.

I'll post some pics. when I get the xXx on with the pipes. Here's what they look like.

No air filter is great for a drag bike or a show bike. No way you don't run an air filter on your dog. Period. The first time you hit rain or wind you will be wishing you had a filter.

Lee - It actually doesn't get in your way. Like I said earlier, It's on when I do the local thing other than that I put the teardrop on it.

Oscar - Your dual stack setup looks tits. I would never run my engine without a good filter though. Can't imagine that being too functional in the rain. But like I said, I looks nice!

Thanks Dawg.
That set up is only for when there is no chance of rain in sight.

I was gonna pull it and put the stocker back on for the long hauls...maybe I'll just get another spike, lookin like the same money on ebay anymore anyway

Looks are subjective, so I won't comment. However, running without an airfilter on a $10k S&S engine is an extremely bad idea no matter what the weather conditions are.
