Yep I use Adam's 1 and 2, it's worked for me so I haven't experimented . But the important step is application.. I do the nytril glove and remove with 100% cotton then buff with 100% cotton. I just go buy a couple yards of flanel at the fabric store and cut it into 5" strips . Discard regularly.. I might go thru 5pcs 5 x18 when doing a bike . Keep a fairly clean one for the final buffing. All hand work. I use a blue bottle of ceramic wax for painted surfaces, think it's Maguire's.Before you wash with water, be sure to waterproof ur pup. You can buy a can of Marine Conformal coating and spray EVERY PC board you have. Maker lights, tag mount, handlebar controls, etc. Once this is done, your pup will NOT be skeered of water. You can go one step further and heat shrink each elecrical connection. Mr Clean Magic erasers work well in a pinch. I wouldnt wash the paint with them tho. There are a buttload of posts on cleaning. Most do well. Ive been stuck on the Adams brand of polish tho. 2 step process give you chromelike shine.
White diamond high shine is a good choice for billet.Hmm, I've seen people say to use aluminum foil and white vinegar on the chrome if there is some corrosion or little spots of rust, but I guess Coca Cola would work too because of the phosphoric acid. I actually need some more Coke as I ran out today and it's my drink of choice.
I don't see Mothers Billet at any of my local stores, but it appears they do have White Diamond, at least according to their webpage. I may run out later and grab some and some extra microfibers and go to town. This poor thing is in dire need lol
BADAZZ!That's the only metal polish I use. Here's a picture of my first Dog.![]()
