I know, I know this is a motorcycle forum. Just had such a great weekend in the woods I wanted to share it!

Saturday I busted a 19.5lb bird with a 10'' beard and 1.25'' spurs.
Sunday I got a 18 lb bird with a 6'' beard.

Bad dog, no bisquit
PA season doesnt come in until the 28th. Unfortunately with all the warm weather we have been getting, they are noisey now and the season may be over before we get started. Nice birds.

Damn nice birds. I'm not patient enough to hunt turkeys. We resorted to pigs a long time ago at the TX ranch.

Never had wild turkey (the bird). Does it taste like domestic bird?
This is the finest thing in the world to eat! Cube the breast them put it in Cream of mushroom soup for 2-3 hrs. Then get flour, Tony's seasoning, garlic powder, and oregano in large bag & shake it all up.Then fry the cubes.

The other thing we do is the same thing we do to Sand Hill Crane. Cube the breast, then place it in 90% lemon juice 10% olive oil over night. Then place it on chish-ka-bob sticks along with cherry tomatos, lg onion slices, bell pepper, and Pineapple cubes.Add light Garlic salt and Tony's and place them on the grill.

Look like some nice turkey. I almost had one on Saturday. Was cruising down US 59 and saw them just in time to slow down. Strutted right across the road in front of me. I sure would hate to hit one with the bike!
