Hey O-Man, when / where was this show? I' ve never heard of it. I would have gone to it, had I known about it. Even though I'm in Wichita right now, we want to move back down to the Tulsa area (my old stompin' grounds). Let me know if there are any more good shows coming up in the area!

It was at the Tulsa Civic Center, in down town Tulsa. I think they had one in Wichita a month earlier.
O-man! Nice pics and thanks for sharing! Love the pinup girl on the trike and most of the other bikes.
Question: Is Wide Open Magazine only in the lower midwest? I got talked into a one year subscription by these "Wide Open" girls in Sturgis back in '06. (Hmmm, I wonder how that happened!
) They even gave me a pretty 'racey' t-shirt that I can't wear much in Utah.:bang:
I enjoyed the magazine that year but didn't renew and haven't heard much about them until you mentioned them as a sponsor of this show on your thread.

First it was in Kansas City, followed by Tulsa, then next St. Louis. I heard enough negative inside information to know that I didn't want to support this show.
Wide Open is a midwest magazine.
Yes BB? Unless it is inappropriate for you to discuss this or enlighten us, I would like to know something about Motorcycle magazine area coverage, competition, and free versus subscription (not counting ones like Easyrider, Hot Bike, etc).
In my area (intermountain west) we have always only had 'Thunder Press Western Edition'. Sometimes in Denver (and occassionally in St. George, UT I have picked up copies of 'Throttle' (a smaller glossy free mag).
As I stated above, I had a one year subscription to Wide Open and enjoyed it but ads, events, were out of my normal traveling area.
Now I have heard of Thunder Roads which you represent (in your area?) and owned? by TSDawg? I sort of gather that it started as a SE MC magaizine but would like to expand to other areas? I have not seen a copy of your mag.
Anyway a little confusing to me (and maybe others) so if you can shed some light on the whole thing it would be appreciated. Totally understand if you don't want to comment.
