Ya might try a shifter pawl adjustment? Ck the hiem joints as well.

Franktwoody. Unless it was previously changed out, you know the AIH motorcycles came with a Roadmax transmissions, not Baker, right? Just saying, cause parts for the Roadmax are difficult to come by. I know when mine took a dump ( 04 LSC ) I had to replace the entire transmission.
Well if it is a Baker definitely Andrew Barnes can fix it up. Could be just needs an adjustment like HMAN stated. However J.J. is absolutely correct about Roadmax transmission on AIH. Btw BigDogtech01 is Andrew Barnes on this forum. However I don’t believe he uses this any longer.

I am assuming you have a Roadmax 6 speed trans? Probably best bet would be to replace with Ultima 6 speed, it would be direct fit replacement. Roadmax parts may be difficult to come across.
Sorry JJ, didn't see your post before I chimed in, you are spot on with the Roadmax. He should change it out for an Ultima.
Jmo, but everybody seems to be in Sturgis? Perhaps Andrew took a trip?
