Weird drivetrain feeling.

Over the last couple of months I have noticed a intermittent slip type feeling under a load and in 2nd gear. I did a poker run today and was noticing it more often. I also felt it in 5th once when I down shifted and rolled on the throttle. The best way that I can describe the feeling is to compare it to a 10 speed bicycle. Imagine changing bicycle gears and it skips a tooth and then grabs. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Drive belt would have to be extremely loose to jump teeth.
Does it make any noises when doing this? I would say at first when reading it, slipping clutch. But, then you describe it as feeling like something is jumping in and out of gear..? That would be a transmission problem, not clutch.
How many miles are on the transmission?

There are 7k miles on the bike. This was only happening when I would start moving and I would go to 2nd and then roll into the throttle. Yesterday was the first time that it happened in 5th. I was on the interstate and went to accelerate around a car.

I have had the belt checked and the clutch adjusted about 1K miles ago. The clutch was pulling at stoplights. The clutch pull is starting to come back but very lightly this time.

There are no noises made when the slip happens and it is very intermittent. I can't find a pattern.

You probably will not notice the clutch slipping coming from a stop. Most commonly, you will notice it slipping in 4th gear and up with a handful of throttle roll on. Go out for a ride with motor and drive train warmed up to operating temp...shift transmission into 4th gear and roll on throttle hard. You should feel it slipping if it's going to. You can do this in 5th and 6th gear as well, but will need to be going a lot faster to get the motor in the maximum torque range.
Just be advised, I will not be held responsible for any speeding tickets or accidents that may take place :D

Looking forward to retirement
I still say, look at the back pulley. Mine had to be replaced at 7500 miles. It was doing the same thing, that's how I noticed it!

Thank you for the advise. I have only felt it once in 5th and that was when I downshifted and grab the throttle to pass cars on the interstate. It is fairly common when I do a quick shift into 2nd and then accelerate, but I'm not getting on it too hard.
