Website info/advice sought

Looking to put together a website for a local riding group. Would consist of a main page, some pics or pic galleries and maybe a members section. Seeking suggestions on what others may use or know about constructing a web site. Do you use FrontPage or Dreamweaver or some other software? How or who do you have host the site (Go Daddy, Yahoo...etc.)?

Though I have little experience in web site construction, would like to develop this as cheap as possible, usually meaning DIY.

Thanks for any info.

It would be a website where someone can read about the club, history, view pics etc. Then I thought a section for members only.

Always have used Network Solutions and develop using Dreamweaver. You can find cheaper hosting, but I like the reliability of NS. Plus they have some DIY products for you to play with and if you think its not going to cut it you can do the switch to one that you build on your own. Heads up ... Dreamweaver aint cheap ... but it will do anything you need.

Dreamweaver, I've heard good things about Network Solutions, But I've always used Doteasy. As far as a Forum goes, the pay ones have more features, the free ones have all the features but you need to add as you go, Some also come with Built in Galleries for photos.

Well I am glad to hear that Dreamweaver is being used as I have that software and manual, just haven't looked at it yet. I will start by looking at NS and see what develops. Thanks for the info
