Water proofing controls

Anyone have any ideas on how to water proof controls. Last year I hit a lot of rain going to NYC and my left blinker was on for 2 days until it dried out. Any suggestions or threads. I searched and found how to do license plate.:flag:

Look on the how to from gasman he even had pics. Shrink wrap all plugs under tank for starters.

If nothing else you can coat the circuit boards and connectors with dielectric grease.

Conformal coat them.......

But I usually spray WD-40 into the controls before I wash the bike...

There was a recall for all 05 and early production 06 models to replace the circuit boards due to water intrusion on SB 1069A. The new boards Style F had gel tape applied over all the circuits connections and plugs to stop the water intrusion. Maybe doing this to your 04 may fix it.
