Water cooled Dog

Well it had to happen sooner or later. Got caught in a torrential down pour last night. Had this bike for one year riddin it 10,000 miles first hard rain. Still on original tires. Trying to get every bit out of the rear tire before changing the tire, got a bit hairy at 50mph so kept it slow, had to ride about 15miles home. Dog performed flawlessly, kicked the bike a little sideways some times just to see, felt good, no problem. It was like 85 degrees at 11:00 pm so the rain felt good, don't mind the rain on me but hate the crud on the bike. Today, dog's all clean ready for ride. Still love this bike like it's the first day.:up:

I got caught in a hard sudden downpour when I first got my dog it was like riding an out of control jetski Been in rain a few times since and never had a problem but the road grime does suck.

Hard rain at 80 with full camp gear on scoot and no issues, riding side by side for hours and hours, 18k on tires, at the time, Ray had 20k on his.

Damn! I need riding partners like some of you guys, some people I ride with ride like old ladies. How in the hell do you get that kind of mileage out of your tires, couldn't even get that out of my stock evo. Do you run the tires till the threads come though?

10K is good for a 300, I ran my 1st to 9k and when I put a new tire on holy shit what a difference, you'll be amased how flat (squared) your tire really is and how you've just gotten used to it, I can't go right to deep on my K-9 becouse of pipes but I have wear marks right up to the edge on the left side of the tire :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Nice bike! Haven't been rained on much yet. Just enough to get my legs wet and get the bike dirty. It ran flawlessly!

It never pours but it always rains here. I probably ride in the rain two or four times a week. Dog never has a problem unless I cause it by jumpin onthe throttle and spinning my wheels but it always gets the thumbs up from a crowd!
