WATCH YOUR REAR!!

Yikes!! Glad he is OK.

Man, that is one of my big fears ever since a friend was rear ended at a stop light on his bike. I tend to always check my mirrors to keep an eye who's coming up behind me and if its a high speed stop I'll try and pull up along side the car in front of me.

Thanks for sharing.

Lucky to be alive. He did brake hard. You can see smoke coming off his rear tire. He probably should have gone around the cars in front of him.If I have to brake that hard it doesn't matter what I'm driving, I look in my mirror to see who's coming behind.

Yep it is scarey out here. That almost happened to me several years ago when I rode a Suzuki 1200. I stopped as the red was red!!!!!! The guy behind me locked it up, I slammed the throttle and ran the light to keep from getting hit. Then me being the mild mannered guy I am was going to let it go but he caught up with me I thought to appoligize but he wanted to give me a rassoin of crap for stopping at the red light which caused him to have to stop when he had no intentions of doing because he was late for "Church"!

Ah but, when he found out he was barking up the wrong tree he wanted to take off and found out he wasn't going to out run me or get away. He pulled over and told me he was late for church. He locked the doors and barely let the glass down as got my point across, and I think I did it very professionally :D . Bet he leaves for church sooner since then too.

You all be safe out there , and you follks that pray say a prayer for the folks in the south right now, lot of lifes lost and devastation close to here,

I to keep an eye out for whats coming up behind me when I am sitting at a light or stop sign. Sometimes I press the brake lever a couple of times to get the drivers attention that is coming up from behind. Just a safety thing I do.

And ALWAYS try to leave yourself an "escape route". In other words, don't stop so close to the vehicle in front of you that you couldn't shoot off to the side of the road in a split second, if necessary, to avoid being sandwiched!
