Hello again gents, have emails out on a 2005 Chopper unknown mileage at this time and a 2004 Ridgeback again unknown mileage....hate it when they don't list miles !

Anything special I need to watch out for on either bike, any known problems ?

I hate to make a costly mistake by not knowing what to look out for.. :bang:

Well the 2004 Ridgeback has almost 11k miles and the seller is looking for $11,500 for it.....Gonna try to at least look at it..

I would go with the RSD on the 05 after owning both LSD and RSD

I think there's an 04 listed here for 9k.
I think that is the WV bike and its a couple hours south of me wish I had time to go check it out trying to find something closer to home..

I bet it will sell quick at that price..

Looking forward to retirement
Anything 04 and older, look for compression releases on top of the heads, 2003 107's were tapped for compression releases but not installed. 1st bikes in 2004 were the same but later on compression releases were added. And yes unless you like replacing starters the 107 eats them! Also make sure the recall on the frame was taken care of.

Thanks for the info gents..

I stopped at a dealer in Georgia the other day and test fit a Chopper and (2) K9's...I haven't dug into frame spec's yet but the Chopper just felt smaller than the K9's....He had a new never plated K9 on the floor as well but with all the used scoots flooding the interweb I don't see me buying a new leftover..

I got a dude showing up tomorrow if he can get off work to pick up my Kawi Concours 14 if we get that wrapped up quick gonna check out another K9 about an hour and a half away..

The 04 and older bikes were left side drive which was not a balanced bike. Eats tires and harder to ride. They fixed that in. 05 with the right side trans drive belt. Plus they went to the larger 300 rear tire which is bad ass! 05+ has better resale all around.
