This last weekend, I went on a ride with a friend up to Stonehenge. We started out in Sandy, at about 9:30 AM and headed out up over Mt Hood. Stopped off in Hood River for a drink, then headed on east through The Dalles and finally cut across to Washington and the memorial. It was finished in 1930, as a WWI memorial. Later, they added one for servicemen from the county who died in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. :flag:
The ride there was uneventful. Luckily, I signaled my friend to swing up into the lead possition for a bit on our way back down the Gorge. I noticed is license plate was loose, and starting to swing down towards his tire. I pulled up along side and motioned for him to pull over. Unfortunaly, I don't yet have a tool roll because the first thing I would have put in it was zip ties. The nut came off one of the screws, so we ended up cutting off a strap from his sunglasses case and tied the plate back down.
Anyways, here's a couple photos:
