Bill, my prayers are with you and your family and thanks for sharing those words of wisdom. I know that both you and John have caused more than a few of us to do some things a little differently. Like the song says, "love deeper, speak sweeter and give forgiveness I've been denying".

Harley battery works perfectly fine for me fires right up within seconds no hesitations ever even after sitting in storage for 4.5 months, I've had them in other bikes never been an issue and they last a long time when properly maintained
How many CCA is that harley battery

So what's the big deal behind these braille batteries? I've got a battery I got at O'Reilly and have had it for about 2 years now and never had n e issues, but it does run low voltage for sure.. gauge reads about 12 at idle and only gets to about 13.5 while regular driving.. I'd like to see a little more, it cranks slower too if I don't throw it on the tender at least once a week.. if I ride every day I'm good, but I let it set just for a few days and it's got a slow crank and only reads about 11.5

So, do we have an update on John?
Bill, I just got the below message from John's wife Cathy: she checked his email and replied to my PM. I told her a few people may respond and I hope she does not mind.

Hi...this is John's wife, Cathy. I'm sorry to say John passed away 2/4/17 from metastatic melanoma. He fought so hard against this up to his very last breath. I was with him all the way to the end, playing his music and talking to him. Sorry I hadn't logged on here before now to update his status. Thanks for checking in on him...Ride safe!!

I had feared that was going to be the answer.

I don't recall if he got the bike running? Do we know. I know he was trying to finish it up so his family could sell it. That sure would have been nice to help him finish it.

Sorry, I did not inquire about the bike.
