Curious to hear the group's feedback on how much engine warm-up time is needed when starting up. Thanks for any advice.

I start it when I am putting my gear on and when the heads are warm, I ride. 3-5 minutes.

Heading up to Sam's Gun Shop in Everett in a few minutes.

Then to a new rider graduation this afternoon...:D

just make sure you are warming it up at 2000rpm+/-, and don't use the enricher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is not a choke, it will flood the motor and foul out the plugs. use the throttle. or better yet, get yourself a cruise-mate.

Usualy about 3 min also. Basically enough to start to get the top of the orckers covers warmed up. If you warm it up, be careful not to walk away putting on other gear in case it accidently drops in gear. Not good

way back yonder, my dealer mechanic told me to warm up until the cylinder head got just hot enough where you had to take your hand off of it. Roughly 2-3 minutes if even that.

Thanks everyone. 2-3 min. or whenver the heads get warm is what I do, but thought I'd check with you all to confirm. Sounds like I'm on the same page, thanks again.
