I just got a phone call from my childhood friend's Mother, that he was killed today in Bagdad. He just turned 42 in April he left behind 2 sons and 1 daughter. He talked me into joining the Army with him we both enlisted same time, he re-uped I got out, he was in it for life :flag: Don't know when his body will return state side. He will be buried in Oklahoma his Mother said with his sister my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and anyone else who has lost freinds family or loved ones in this war.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone. Especially remembering what this Memorial weekend is all about. It was my honor to serve, just fortunate to live and talk about it.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. hard enough to bury one child, but in your post you say he will be buried beside his sister. more than one mother should have to do.

We owe our lives to those who protect us. I am very grateful. I will always go out of my way for any client that is military. I don't care if I work for free. :flag:

My prayers to his family, friends, coworkers still in harms way, and my thanks to all those that made the same sacrifice before him. May their efforts and loss never be taken for granted and never forgotten. One of the things I'm most proud of in life is having served in the US military but it pales in comparison to how proud I am of those who served and died offering everything they had to make things better for others.
