Anybody out there with a 04 Chopper LSD, do a RIP install? Looking for a few photos. Did it interfere with the stock seat?

We have sold alot of 2004 Chopper RIP kits and I have personally installed several and have not had an issue with the stock seat yet.

GETTING READY TO HELP A FRIEND INSTALL THE NEW RIP KIT ON 04 CHOPPER HOW IS THE BEST METHOD TO GET NEW WIRE KIT UP THROUGH BACK BONE UNDER GAS TANK ENDS ARE AREADY ON WIRES AND DONT LOOK LIKE IT WILL ALL FIT BACK THROUGH

Stagger the connectors inline and wrap them with electrical tape, one layer and cover all the connectors with the tape. Then take a scrap piece of wire and feed it through the backbone tube to use as a pull wire. Tape the pull wire to the end of the new harness. Then i use dielectric grease and apply it to the taped harness area. Then pulling the wire and feeding the harness from the backbone area forward I work the harness out of the backbone at the engine area. Just go slowly and dont over force it and it will work its way through

helped a friend install the r I p kit on his 04 chopper yesterday nothing to it when he unboxed it , yes it looked like a night mare first thought was aint no way in hell to get all these wires up through that back bone .did not tape anything greased back bone and pushed wire ends in through hole one at the time .simple. worked harness up through back bone real slow until I could see the first end at exit hole then took a small curved pick and pulled each end through hole one at the time being very careful to not damage wire or wire end .if you go slow and careful it will go with no damage to wires .once harness was in place it was all very simple each end is marked as to where it connects neatened everything back up put on new wire ties put all back together .simple.it looks scary but after you are finished you will say to yourself no big deal at all. and be ready for the next one ..... I personaly want to thank the guys at r I p great job with the replacement kit oh and by the way was only bout a 3 hr job

What is a RIP
R.I.P. is a replacement to the EHC or the PDM, or what ever system is in your bike to make all the electronics work. The guys at KMW offer this unit. I have heard good things. Mine will be here soon. I can't wait. My PDM/HCI took a crap and the bike has been sitting.

I just put one on an 08 Mastiff. I covered this on another post. I am very happy with this unit. Took me 5 hours, but I paid close attention to ever little detail to make sure it was in there and looking stock

My K9 is getting RIP'd this winter. No issues with the EHC yet but eventually it will give problems. I'm going to have to spend the money on the RIP sometime so I'm doing it before it leaves me stranded...
