Welcome to BDB !
Real nice K-9 . Love the black also .
Very clean looking !
If your going to sit on it with the vroom veroom noises
be sure to set up a fan in front of the bike. It makes a world of difference.
Awsome ride , ENJOY !

Good luck on the purchase, waiting to hear how everything turns out. I believe I am thinking about a purchase from the same place.

Well its all unloaded and stored in my dads garage for now since mine is full of other toys. The paint and chrome all looked good from what I could tell in the dim light and the bike looks way more badass then the I expected. The one main problem I have is that it seems the battery is so low it just cranks for like half a second and then the lights flash so Im assuming the battery needs a charge or replaced (Im pretty pissed about that especially after dropping that much coin and I already emailed the dealer) The delivery guy told me he did get it to start when he picked it up but he could tell the battery was def low on charge. Hopefully I can put it on the trickle charger tomorrow and once its charged it will fire right up. Is there anything special I need to do or not do when removing the battery??? My dads garage doesnt have power so Ill be bringing the battery here to charge it. I took a couple pics but they are so dark you can barely see it

I wish I had more money.
If you're going to remove the battery you may take some little bitty zip ties. Take one side loose and zip them up then the other side. If you decide on a new battery easy good replacement is a Harley soft tail style agm battery. That will get you by. Then go to the Walmarts and get a battery tender. Or better yet get a hold of Don(Maddog) a site sponsor and order one from him.

Order a Braille and get a tender from Don. Take the installed battery out, charge it and get a load test. If you keep the original battery, it better have some cranking amps so it doesn't let you down. I still have my original Big Dog battery but use it for a generator.

Yeah I think Im gonna order a new battery just to play it safe. Ill try to get by with the old one just to get the bike running so I can make sure there are no issues. I just searched and went over the cold starting instrucitons and did some research and will probable be ordering a Tomioka TR-B1500 battery tomorrow. I have a lot to learn about these bikes I can tell.

Sounds obvious, but pay close attention to polarity, and put the battery back in with the ground to ground and the hot to hot. Especially if you buy a new battery and the posts could be reversed, don't say it can't be done wrong because it has. And as said before, zip tie the terminals and get a battery tender. I am still on my original battery and it is still going strong, stays on tender unless I am riding.

You have a good plan. Make sure your connections are clean and secure when you hook up the new battery.

Who did you use to ship your K9? It looks like I missed my opportunity on the red one I was considering from e-bay. Thought about it too long.
