Bob,

SDDOgger is right to the best of my knowledge. If the circuit breaker is still in, then they may have not done the recall or did not do it right. There should be a Big Red Terminal block that connects from the VR to the battery via a Big Ass 40 Amp Fast Blow Fuse that is in a black case with cover. If they did install this and still have the circuit breaker on, that may be the issue, if they do not have the 40amp on and just the original circuit breaker set-up, they did not do it.

Also jumping the BD can be very bad and may be the cause of the problem with the VR. Possible had a bad battery and then jumping it made it worse and now the new battery will nto charge. If you get in a bind in the future try to pump start it before jumping, especially from a automobile or something along those lines.

Good luck getting it back up and running again. Sorry to hear about the problem.

Bob sounds like you did right then, just thrown off by the VR Recall statement.

Hopefully you get it back up soon regardless of how it came about. May just have been bad luck of the draw.

I am very anti-circuit breaker on these 05-06 models (if you have read my past postings it shows) i think these circuit breakers cause the problems with the vr's and especially with the new ones it seems any time someone gets a new one they are stranded with a dead battery! I think the circuit breakers are a bad connection and causing the new ones (vr) to internally trip and kill your battery.
