VOES?

I have a 2004 Big Dog Chopper, 107 S&S; I noticed on the intake manifold a fitting with a broken off hose or cap; not sure which. I don't see a connector hose anywhere and research has indicated I should cap, run it to the breather, or it goes to a VOES. If I put my finger over the hole, it does drop the idle, so it has vacuum. I had the stock air cleaner replaced many years ago with a wimmer. What does this do?Intake Picture.jpg

Vac is for two things. One is for a diaphragm assist vacuum type petcocks. The other is for VOES. The rise in idle is if you let gas run out of the lawnmower, the rpm rises real high right before it stops. Super lean efficient but oh well, So nipple on. Does the ignition use a self curving ign system? Or is this old style with voes?

Ign wise, someone will chime in on which you have, unless you had one of those cam sensor ign with the toggle to switch ign curves? Then you don't need the VOES.
