boydog, no offense but you must be new to the chopper world. BBC has had some issues with the necks breaking off of their frames.
Not all models but seem to be the ones where there is no gusset at the front triangle. (Controversary over this as the owner is proported to have wrecked the bike prior to the neck breaking but you need to come to your own conclusion).
My brother built a BBC Merc but it's wasn't part of the re-call as his has the gusseted spider web.

I love the BBC bikes but I must admit even though my brother has one that BBC fucked this up.

How many here remember the recall BD did on broken frames? Ummmmm....... not many huh? That's cause they were probably handled lots differently.

Makes owning a BDM a relief over maybe a BBC or AIM or Ultra or TMC or HBC and many other. :D

One of my so-call friends has a BBC Sled. He was talkin shit, plenty shit to me about kickin my ass. We raced. At 75mph I went by him like a raped ape on roller skates and I never looked back. When he sees me now he kinda drops his head and you know what tell him " Don't be ashamed motherfucker, hold your head up"!!!!!

guess you can say im new to the chopper world ,its my first chopper and thanks for the info Ray . Was'nt stating that BBC was faster then our dogs (I know there not) , just said the bike rides . one thing I have observed is the lower vibration from the bbc up at 80-90 ( where we ride at alot on I-20/75 and 85 here in the city) . From 20 years if drag racing nos and turbo radial cars ( 153 to the 1/8 and 200 to the 1/4 , im not a green-horn to speed , just dont care for the speeds on a bike without chutes a cage :D , but I do love my chopper with that "when I need it 117 power " . just love the looks of the sled . Thanks again Ray , nothing personal to any of the site members ( tough skin here :D)
