Vent Plug

Any one have any idea what size threads are on the vent plug on the bottom of s&s carbs. The 10-32 plug is way to little.

Ray how about you .Do you have any idea what size. sh8kr sent me a 10-32 and it is way to little.

No but I will go pull mine and measure it for you and post it up by morning.

T, I just pulled my tap & die out and measured that plug. It's a 24 thread count and seems to be a 5/16th but I will tell you I couldn't screw it into the die. One size down was to small and one up was to big so has to be either a 5/16ths or it's metric!

Got a caliper? A 5/16 should be .3125

It's chromed so that must be the reason. I have the xXx chrome carb!

Thanks All. appreciate it. Now does any one know where I can find a barbed fitting 5/16-24 at. I've tried CVlippards and Mc Master-Carr with no luck.

Sounds like something you can get down at your local Autozone in the vacuum parts section.
