VENT LINE FROM OIL TANK

Does your vent line that comes out of the bottom of your oil tank hook up to the top of the oil pump? Mine is attached to the bottom of the oil pump. I've been having problems with the oil light coming on at idle once the engine is warmed up. I talked to a rep at S&S, and he told me to hook up the vent line to the top of the oil pump. This should solve my problems. What do you guys think?

The 08 manual shows the vent line at the top of the oil pump and connecting to the top fitting on the tank. The 2 lwer fittings on the tank are return and feed.

I took another look and the vent line is at the top of the oil tank. I'm going to get a steel braided line made up to connect from the oil tank to the top of the oil pump. I'm going to have to use a 90 degree fitting. I hope the 90 doesn't restrict the flow.

Here is the picture out of the 05 manual and it shows the vent going to the top of the pump.
