Vance & Hines w BTC baffles

Hi everyone

I am really tempted to get this done ..
Bought my bike with v&h BR 2+2 already and it sounds great , but ...

I want it to sound like this Pitbull

What does it take ? Cam ? Baffles ?

Pitbull on the video to me sounds great !

Any opinions from members that have them on or have heard them with the BTC baffles ?

I have the Big City Thunder baffles in my bikes...one of the best things I ever bought, they sound awesome and make the bike run so much better. Throttle response is awesome with them installed. :chopper:

I guess you could do a cam for sound but the side effect will be performance. I first upgraded to a 585 cam but it still strained above 4k. The 600 cam just keeps on pulling but you need a G carb and probably re-jetting. I have the Big Radius pipes and they sound OK.

I’m running BCT baffles+OEM baffles (see threads). Just calm enough for city, and has very good mid and high rev torque. Sounds similar to vid as well. Maybe a lower tone. Still rattles yer ribs, yeah.

Loud Pipes Save Lives! :patriot:
.. as I told the Laguna Beach Police Officer writing me up.
New Cali regulations being strictly enforced now with $1,000. tickets for excessive noise. :spank:

I decided to put the baffle back in and enjoy the ride without the added expense.

Lord only knows how many lives I saved in my tenure with the LOUD pipes... :chopper:

Adding baffles to sounds louder doesn't really add up to me. Is it a money back guarantee ?

When I bought my 09 Camaro i had it in the muffler shop 12 hrs after I picked it up. Instead of dropping $1,500 on mufflers, I told them just cut 'em off and we'll test it. Turned out to be the absolutely perfect tone. The catalytic converters muted it just enough. They replaced the ugly cans near the bumper with straight pipes, welded my chrome tips back on, and I got the best sound ever for just over $100.

Pretty sure my V&H have no baffles and it sounds great.

Thank you all guys , purchase is done !

Is it an easy DIY job ? For someone with little mechanic skills ?
It is not a difficult job, hardest part is getting the stock baffles out. Sometimes they are rusted in there a little so some wd40 or PB blaster helps a lot. I soaked mine with wd40 and let it sit for an hour or so and they came out pretty easy. The sound and performance improvement is worth any trouble you might have :chopper:

I seen that video also. He was selling his Pitbull. Why not see if you can get ahold of him to see what he has done to get it to sound like that?
