Hey Bulldog04, I just went to Dennis Kirk. These were the ones i ordered (look below for specs)

•Big power from Vance & Hines
•Features a 2 1/2 in. full header and muffler heat shield; system is non-blueing
•Scalloped end caps and removable baffles
•Include mounts for factory 02 sensors
•Made in the U.S.A.

NOTE:
86-06 models require O2 sensor port plugs Part No. 4403276

NOTE:
Not all products are legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles. Check your local laws and manufacturer's information.

For the best performance, A free-flowing air cleaner and adjustable fuel management system is recommended with this pipe.

There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any discoloration. Discoloration (blueing) is the result of tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, overheating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing.

See lubrication products for products that will help prevent or remove blueing.

Hey Doghouse,

I hope you got your pipes today. I actually ended picking up a pair of MB Daisycutters and installed them this afternoon. Went on pretty easy with the transmission mount. I did not install the baffles as the bike seems to actually run pretty well as is. It is pretty loud and I do get some decel popping but overall not too bad.

Good luck and let me know how it goes with the Hookers!

Hey BulllDog04, glad you got your pipes! And glad they went on easy! Send some pics man. Those are nice pipes. I liked them, but was worried they would stick out too much and i would disintegrate my calf. I would love to see what they look like on another 04 Bulldog. I got my pipes yesterday. They look real nice. (great quality) fully assembled (heat shields, chrome mounting rings, etc) they look like about a 30 minute install (real easy) the only prob I have is the lower pipe (shorter one) has a slight scrape, barely noticeable on the very end tip. This was due to lack of pride on the UPS drivers part. You can see where they must have dropped the box (you can see where the pipe poked through the box a little. I would send them back, but this was the last set they have, and they are discontinued, I like them a lot, and they look like they will mount easily. And once I lightly sand, polish it it will be barely noticeable unless you know it was there. But I took some pics of it and the box, and I am going to email Dennis Kirk. maybe they can at least give me a discount on a future order. If not ohh well, I am keeping them. I will take some pics monday when I get them on. Talk to you later Bro!

06 K9 /I have the V&H early design and they do drag on tight right hand corners.
The new design has 2 inches more clearence. I'm up two jet sizes on the main and two
on the intermediate no poping runs strong. I broke the welds in the brackets once
but after reweld no problems. I am at sea level in south Florida you will have to jet acording to where you are and your air cleaner. mines spike.

I have (had) them too... no baffles, I like them ok except that they are VERY common. I recently bought a set of LAF exhaust from Santee. VERY LOUD!! I have picked up a decel pop but, it's not bad and no more dragging. I lost a little low end punch by switching but, I have a different exhaust set up and the North Carolina deer now hear me miles before I get there..lol.. If loud pipes save lives. My riding buddies and I are immortal because of the LAF's

Hey guys, I am thinking about getting the vance & Hines Big Radius slash cuts on my 2004 bulldog. If any of you have them, do you like them? Any pros/cons? Do the come with a bracket that bolts to the bike for support?? Do you think I will need to re-jet this? Right now, I have straight pipes, that go into one at the end (no baffles) Thanks! Click on my thumnail to see my pipes now.

I have the V&H Big Radius as well. Really like the look (although it is a common pipe on BDMs) and of course the great sound. I had to rejet but still have quite a bit of popping. I guess it is what it is ~

WoW that was a total buzz kill, I was looking at the V&H 2 into 2 for my 04 bulldog. I have read that the soft tail will work with an 04 but would need a different bracket from V&H, any chance you other 04 bulldog owners can post a few pics of what you have installed?

I have almost no decel pop. Pipes are excellent, except in corners where they drag.

Might want to have a master tuner take a look at it

Hey Joe, I am sending them now. Sorry, I can't figure out how to put them on here. My pipes are the Hooker Widetail Rebels. They are discontinued. They are not making them anymore. I got a great deal from Jegs. There are a few still out there for sale if you check, like Ebay or do a search. You have to like them though. I like them a lot, I removed the baffles, they sound great, and they are a real great quality pipe. Not cheap chrome. the pipe itself is jet hot coated (but you can't really see it underneath) and the chrome on the pipes is great. Easy to install for most people. Direct fit for a 04 Bulldog. No bracket bullshit, etc like I had with the Vance & Hines.
