V&H BR want to pull baffels

I have looked all over this sight and could not really find a solid answer? so I pose this question.

i was thinking of pulling out the baffels on my 08 ridgeback, it has the BR pipes and everything else is stock, what all will have to be done? I.E re-jetting or just adjustments? and how to geem out?

You shouldn't need a jet change. I pulled mine out for a couple weeks and felt like I lost to much bottom end. The top end was killer though. They are a biatch to get out if you put some miles on the bike already. If I did it all over again, I'd spray some PB blaster on them and let them sit for a day. I had to use a slide hammer to get mine out.

You will lose bottom end and you should re-jet. You can get by without it, but it will run better with jet change.

If you pull the baffles you will lose low end no doubt. Get the thunder city baffles and you will get your low end back and the sound you are looking for!

I don't know how the 117 is but my 127 lost considerable low end power when I replaced factories with thunder monsters. When I did the same thing on my TC88 i got deeper sound and not much loss in power(not much to lose to begin with) Both bikes have BRs on them.

As recommended before, use PB blaster on the baffles. Some come out very easy and some will have to be driven out. I put the bolt in from the inside of the baffle, grabbed it with vise grips and tapped with a hammer after it soaked in PB for a few minutes. The older the pipe the harder they are to remove.

You could give this a shot. I pulled mine and cut them in half then put them back. got the sound I wanted and didn't lose enought bottom end to notice. As far as geting them out...remove the bolt that holds them in and start the bike...When the pipe warms up they will slide out on their own. Took about five mins and mine fell out on the shop floor.
