Well just wanted to post that I finally got around to pulling out my baffles on my V&H 2 into 2 pipes. I read other post and took everyones opinions to heart and must say I am VERY happy that I took them COMPLETELY out!:whoop:

My custom I built many years ago had Samson Shit Guns on it without the baffles and even tho it was loud as hell but I loved them. I love the "cackle" when shifting and hard decal! Some do not but to me this is what our bad ass Big Dog's where supposed to sound like!

I have a set of half baffles for them as well thanks to a great member here on the forum but love the sound I am getting now! I do not notice any loss in low end but then again I really don't care about that my racing days are about at an end now. Just wanna look and sound good!

Anyway thanks for listening just wanted to let everyone know if your on the fence about this go for it I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Blahhhhhhhhhhhhh. cackle cackle cackle bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:whoop:

Must not have ran good before pulling them, when I pulled mine it sounded great when I started it up but fell on it's face when I took off, I installed BigCity Thumder baffles rejetted and now it's great.

My bike ran great with 2 into 1 pipes and I put wide open short pipes and I did not lose any power

Congrats on getting them out! I took mine out last year tried it, then put in the Big City Thunder Monster Baffles. Still loud enough and the growl and sound Scott mentioned was exactly what I wanted. RB 2 into 1 when time and money permit but for now I'm a happy camper.

Zach, thank you for your service!!

What you say may be true. If it is something was off when you had the 2 into 1 on there or it was a bad design. Physics say so...lol. Or you run at WOT all the time! :D A properly designed and tuned 2 into 1 will win out over straight shorties until you get the RPM's way up there. Just trying to be informative so forgive if I offend...and gurus please slap me if my info is off.

What jet sizes did you install ? I have 05 mastiff 117 29.5 & 71 jet sizes and notice a little hesitation that wasn't there before.

What Elevation are you at? When I first got the bike it came with 29.5 & 72 way too lean for Sea Level. I am running 31 & 76 and 48 Air bleed and runs smooth & strong now.

I'd say you are way too lean. Try with a 31 Inter and I am sure you will notice an improvement straight away.

31 is the next size up from 29.5 I did not notice any significant changes in mileage at all with the normal day to day riding.

Bike has always ran good with or without baffles and even with my big ass on it! Just loud as hell and definitely can hear me coming now!
