Ultima Thunderfire starter in '05 Chopper?

I'm looking at buying a starter for my '05 Chopper in the inevitable event that my current one fails. So, does the Ultima Thunderfire starter fit the 2005 Chopper? If not, are there other good start options out there?

Ultima does not. You need a starter that works with the DSSC drive. As far as I know your only choices are BDM and Tech Cycles. Tech is supposed to make a great starter, but I put one in a buddy's K9 and have had nothing but problems. He has broken 3 jackshafts, and 2 starter housings as well as torn up 2 ring gears. We checked trans shim, runout on the clutch basket, and every other thing you can imagine, and can't track it down. Tech replaces the parts for free every time, but I just want the thing to work. So my advice, stick with another BDM starter.
