Oil pump is busted, I have another thread with more specifics but there is no saving it. Needs 3 out of 4 gears and a new Pump Body.
Ultima makes a High Output Oil Pump that should be comparable to the S&S for about 50% less. I can get the Ultima Pump for about $180 and the S&S will run me about $350. I don't see any reason for the extra price on oil pump (other than S&S is really proud of theirs) its about as basic as it gets nothing special
Anyways, asking if anyone has installed one and also which one is the right one?
I noticed they have two for Big Twins one is for 92 and Later Big Twins and the other is for 1984-1991.
Part # 98-518 is for 84-91
Part # 98-517 is for 92+
I am guessing the difference is the oil holes in the case and I would suspect the 117 needs the (98-517) 92 and later pump style?

I know John Sach's uses Ultima Motors so I imagine he has some experience with the Pumps, maybe we'll get him to chime in with his experience and confirm the correct model.
