Ultima Ignition Wiring

I did a search and the posts are so old that no pics are showing. I am thinking of converting the ignition in my 04 Chopper to an Ultima or like Single Fire. I want the retain as much original wiring in-case this ever needed to be converted back. Anybody have any pics of how you ran the wiring. Based on my initial "thoughts" the coil has 1 +12V wire an a trigger in the coil area, so I already have to run a new wire (might as well run all 3. There is a 12V wire under the seat and also the tach wire under the seat. So do I run a new harness with 3 wires to the coil or did you guys run from the nose cone up the engine to the coil and bypass all the wiring under the seat and up the backbone?

Well the 04 is the dual fire so your gonna need a new coil too.

The other item you need to think about is the RUN/Off button for that to still to have any purpose. IE turn on/off the ignition your going to have to hijack the existing +12v to the thunderheart as that only gets power via Run and it's removed when triggered off. What electrical system do you have now?

If you don't then ignition will be hot all the time and your left to just use the key.

I have RIP setup. I think what will need to happen is make a jumper harness for the tach and power but run the wires for the coil direct. On the coil + there will be the 12V from the Ultima but only gets power during the run position. Now I just need to decide if I want to do it or not.

I will be putting the Ultima single/dual fire programmable in my wife's AIH this weekend. Quite a bit easier on an Ironhorse but could give you my initial two cents on it's performance.
