does anyone have problems getting to clutch adjustment
when aftermarket exhaust installed
V&H is my possible purchase
It looks like V&H big radius pipes look like they go right over adj. cover ( from pictures I seen )
I never seen overhead view so I am guessing.
any input would be appreciated

yes, the big radius pipes have to be removed to get to the clutch adjustment easily, it can be done but still a pain in the ass.

What I should say is that you can adjust the clutch with the pipes on but you cant lube the pushrod with the pipes in place. best to pull the pipes and lube and adjust at the same time.

Sounds about right. find the pipes you want and deal with the consequences later or find pipes that dont get in the way.

Removing the pipes is not that big a pain. :job: Maybe compared to adjusting your mirror it is. Besides, how often do you adjust your clutch? It can't take any longer than a 6-pack to do.:cheers:

I wouldn’t tackle adjusting the clutch if pulling the pipes is an issue. Just take it back to the dealer.

Just asking ?
It's raining up here and I am bored
I have no problem taking the bike down to nothing and put it back together and build a new garage around it
but no one really cares what i may be able to do

But it would be nice to design an exhaust that you don't need to take a pipe off to adjust clutch
thanks

I'm certain that there are pipes for our Dogs that don't have to be removed to adjust the clutch, but VH BR ain't one of'em. Keep looking around. You'll find some but get ready with the credit card when you do.

And stop with that "no one really cares" BS. If we didn't care, we wouldn't be replying to this thread. That's what this forum is all about. Helping those that want to be helped. :2thumbs:

I know you care about all the group
That's why we signed up
Plus it is a small group compared to HD

and rightfully so
We want to Talk about BIG Dogs
I am looking at installing two turn outs at end of head pipes
no baffle and can always putback not so good looking stock mufflers
and call it quits
seen a set on Ebay
But I love the Vance and Hines look
Fall is a bad time no riding just Sh*** to think about

Hey,
When we talk "Big Dogs", education (especially if you're an electrical engineer), welding, machining and fabrication fit right in. I would love to see a member use those skills and come up with a good looking, practical, inexpensive way to mount a sissy bar on a Pitbull. I would do it, but I'm just your typical womanizing alcoholic dumbass.

Making a sissy bar isn't the hard part. Machining/fabricating a good looking mounting system is what I'd like to see. I'll trial it for ya if you want to make one. Hell, we could be partners then!!!!:cheers::cheers:

Adjusting the clutch is not that big a deal with the Big Radius pipe on. When you get the new V&H pipes go ahead and pull the clutch push rod and grease it up, put it in and adjust the clutch. Install pipes.
