Two Questions to ponder

1. If you were able to buy another Big Dog Motorcycle by the end of this year, which one would you get?

2. Remembering that BDM is a business and they need to make a profit to stay in business (meaning they cannot give these bikes away, nor can the dealer), what could the Factory and a Dealer do to help you move forward with this purchase?

I would get the Limited Mastiff edition

Choice of super low interest rate 2.9 % something like that...
and maybe a 3k rebate ? ..... 1500.00 acessories  ....that would be a :loony: deal if you got all three incentives... even for two of them I might have to jump at  !.....

I would take a hard look at a K-9 (yes, Thumper, I admit it). But I haven't ridden one yet. Otherwise, another Mastiff, for sure.
All I want from the factory is a reliable bike (i.e. it is made right) and a fair deal and maybe a trade on the current bike. There are lots of used bikes out there now...

I'd probably go for a K-9, but hell I just recently paid the ridgeback off. I think I'll enjoy riding around with no payments for awhile longer.

1) It would be a toss up between the Ridgeback or the Pitbull.

2) Ensure that the dealerhip that it was bought from to have the personel/Techs have the knowledge on the bikes. Anyone can work on any bike but it doesn't mean you know what you're doing.

You know my answer, KnotSo - either that blue on blue Pitbull we saw this weekend, or that white n' black Ridgeback that Ms. P8RIOT liked. Better yet, I'd sure like to see that new Wolf come out.

Since I now know how much all the aftermarket mods cost (unlike Bubblehead, who "got his bike exactly the way he wanted it" :D ), I'd say some generous accessory offerings would be attractive.

Really good guestions...

1...K-9 would be my first choice and then a Mastiff\..

2..A really good trade or a very good price on the new one..

I am currently talking to the local dealer and he just does not seem
interesting in giving me a fair trade on a perfect 04 Ridgeback...no financing so the low interest rate does nothing for me...

Probably a K9 due to already owning a Bulldog.

1. GOOD (2 year minimum) Extended warranty
2. LOWEST financing
3. LOWER priced
4. Free paint UPGRADE or accessories

Definitely a K-9 and the same 2.9% interest (that I currently have on my chopper) would be a great incentive.

I think they will need to do both aggressive rebates and low financing like the auto makers do. Otherwise the incentive isn't there.

And for the guys who don't need financing they should offer a much larger rebate just like the car dealers do

Offer repair service at any HD dealer. Cause I think as Wildthing said... the dealers, lack of dealers, and lack of good customer service at the dealers is a huge problem.

1. Probably one of the pro-street models.

2. Publish MSRP which would discourage most dealers from adding a $5k mark up and act like that is the real price and have done you a favor by knocking off a couple of grand.

Mine's paid for, so I'd keep it for sure...but the new pitbull with the 23'' front wheel is the shit...I'd do a satin black with red/white pinstripe and a pinup girl on each side of the tank holding aces and eights....then I'd have the plate AAA88s
