Turn signals on and off switch

Energy One
Hello everyone me again? Question about a 2007 k9. The turn signals and on and off switch don’t work. The guy I bought it from so they stopped working when he put the new ECH in. I know absolutely nothing about that stuff so I didn’t know what questions to ask him. Any advice is greatly appreciated

They don’t work. The turn signals don’t work on the bike is running and to kill the engine you have to turn the key off the Killswitch doesn’t work

There is a control board under the switches which may be failing. This video from Eric at HDM will help you troubleshoot the switches. Do you have any fault lights lighting on the top of your EHC ? When you say your turn signals don't work do you mean left and right front and rear actual flashers or do you mean the indicators on the tack ring don't work?
Try to activate your emergency flashers by turning the key on and selecting your left and right turn signals at the same time. It may help in diagnosing the problem.

Take a picture of the unit under the seat., so we can see what someone used to rewire it. So we know what we are dealing with. What about the High/Low switch does that work?

I mean when you press the button they Don’t work. It’s a bike is running and you get the kill switch it doesn’t shut the bike off. It’s still in the shop getting the clutch problem sorted out. I was just trying to see if this was something I could fix.

It’s at a shop rn I may get him to check it out while he’s fixing the clutch. That’s the problem I asked about earlier. He thinks is the spring or throw out bearing. I was just wanting to see if the lights were something I could fix myself.

It's not like changing a light bulb. You do need some electrical/mechanical skills to work on these bikes. The people on this site will help you but it all depends on what your skills are. If you found a good shop and you have limited skills it's probably a good idea to let them do your repairs until you feel comfortable doing your own work. Do as much of your own work as you can because, as you know, bike mechanics are costly. Read this file in it's entirety to familiarize yourself with the electrical system on your bike.

I’ll do all of my own maintenance. I can do some of the simpler things I’ve never really messed with electrical stuff. This is a great source of information I really appreciate everyone’s advice
