2009 RIDGEBACK (NON EFI)
Got an issue with my right front turn signal and indicator light.
Left front and left rear turn signal and indicator on Speedo work good.
Right rear turn signal works good but right front turn signal and indicator on speedo do not work.
Rear taillights and front marker lights all work good.
Brake lights all work good.
I was out in the shop the other night warming up the bike and I checked / verified the brake lights headlight high/low beam horn and turn signals all were working with the exception of the right front turn signal and indicator on the Speedo but right marker light was lit. I tried it 2-3 times and it did not work and then the 4 time I tried it it worked again as did the indicator on the Speedo. So I thought that's odd so I flipped the left turn signal on and it worked as normal and then I hit the right turn signal again and front turn signal and indicator on Speedo didn't work again but marker light still did and rear turn signal also still worked.
I see on the power harness connector (A) pin 2 brown wire is power to right rear turn signal and pin 28 black wire is ground for right rear turn signal.
I also see on connector (B) pin 19 brown wire his power to the right front turn signal and pin 3 black wire is ground for the right front turn signal.
Also on connector (B) pin 35 brown wire is power to the right signal indicatar.
I guess I'm not really sure where to look. I am thinking it's got to be a loose connection somewhere. I don't believe it would be at the switch as the rear signal wouldn't work when I push the button.
I believe I can eliminate power harness connector ( A)
I guess I just don't see what the indicator and the right front turn signal have in common IE where they tie together unless it is ( B connector PIN #3 ground ?? )
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated
THANKS
Lew
PS
wouldn't it be awesome to own the EHC diagnostic software and the power harness breakout box and the backbone harness breakout box and the EHC test box LOL
