Turn signal

Got an issue with my right front turn signal and indicator light.
Left front and left rear turn signal and indicator on Speedo work good.
Right rear turn signal works good but right front turn signal and indicator on speedo do not work.
Rear taillights and front marker lights all work good.
Brake lights all work good.
I was out in the shop the other night warming up the bike and I checked / verified the brake lights headlight high/low beam horn and turn signals all were working with the exception of the right front turn signal and indicator on the Speedo but right marker light was lit. I tried it 2-3 times and it did not work and then the 4 time I tried it it worked again as did the indicator on the Speedo. So I thought that's odd so I flipped the left turn signal on and it worked as normal and then I hit the right turn signal again and front turn signal and indicator on Speedo didn't work again but marker light still did and rear turn signal also still worked.

I see on the power harness connector (A) pin 2 brown wire is power to right rear turn signal and pin 28 black wire is ground for right rear turn signal.
I also see on connector (B) pin 19 brown wire his power to the right front turn signal and pin 3 black wire is ground for the right front turn signal.
Also on connector (B) pin 35 brown wire is power to the right signal indicatar.
I guess I'm not really sure where to look. I am thinking it's got to be a loose connection somewhere. I don't believe it would be at the switch as the rear signal wouldn't work when I push the button.
I believe I can eliminate power harness connector ( A)
I guess I just don't see what the indicator and the right front turn signal have in common IE where they tie together unless it is ( B connector PIN #3 ground ?? )

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated
THANKS
Lew

PS
wouldn't it be awesome to own the EHC diagnostic software and the power harness breakout box and the backbone harness breakout box and the EHC test box LOL

If I'm understanding correctly, you have two intermittent failures your right front turn signal and the indicator on the speedo. The rt marker does work. If you start by looking at the rt light itself you can see the marker and blinker have the same ground (B3) so it would be reasonable to assume the ground connection is good. Power to the turn signal is on B19 and could be the failure but the speedo indicator on B35 ( which is also failing at the same time) and B19 have the EHC internal turn signal switch in common. B19 and B35 happen to be next to each other in the connector. Check closely that somehow they are not backing out of the connector. Look for a fault indicator on the EHC . If the fault light is lit continuously it would indicate an open. Blinking would indicate an over current or a short . If you have no fault lights good chance the EHC may need some TLC.
I would remove , clean and replace dielectric grease in the EHC connectors. Weird but sometimes a cold EHC will fail and when it warms up ( hair dryer ) it will be OK. https://www.wildsteedworx.com/ can check out your EHC if it becomes necessary.

When you hit the blinker does the front running light stay on & doesn't blink or does the running light happen to go out too?

Running Light/Marker Light should stay lit, the power wire always should be maintaining +12v. There's actually a resistor in the board to reduce the % light output on the LED on the running lights. That's why it never truly BLINKS on/off just goes from dim to bright.

Anyways, my thought with that story is if it goes out completely, then you got a short in the blinker wire somewhere. If it doesn't go out, then all roads lead to back to EHC. Could just be the connection like mentioned or it's in the box.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys. I am working a ton of over time as we are way short on manpower.

When I hit the blinker light the marker light does stay on.

No fault indicator light on or blinking on the EHC.

It was extremely cold out when I tried this -31 degrees.

Right now during my time off I'm working on finishing drywalling my shop and getting the furnace hung. It is supposed to warm up into the low 50s in the next couple of days and I will pull B connector off and clean connection and apply new dielectric grease and try it. If that doesn't work I guess I'm looking at an EHC.

Thank you guys for the advice and steering me in a direction.

I will let You know

Well guys it got 54° today turn signal works good now who’d figure.
I will tell you who MikeinJersey.
Thanks Mike
Thank you Th3infamousI I will still pull B connector apart and clean and put new dielectric Grease on it

Working in warm and not when it's cold is a classic indicator of a failing EHC -- Both mine went that way.
Save your pennies, you are going to need one. Could be a year, could be next thursday but you've got the warning sign!

Had to use a hair dryer for years to get my bike started in cold weather. Best thing I ever did was replace my EHC's (yes, plural... I tried several) with the Electronik version. No issues and has started the bike in below freezing temperatures even. Also, noticed it fires instantly when hitting the start button. Original and replacement OEM EHC's all would create issues with turn signals and flashers in temperatures below 50 degrees. Always use dielectric grease on the EHC connections!
