Centerdrill and use an easy out, replace bolt

Did you strip the threads on the female part? I can't tell by the picture.

i got in an accident last week and it broke. do you think the bracket screws in to the tree? i cant tell...

Thats what it looks like to me. Careful with the easy outs if you break those it is a pain in the ass to get out.

I am seeing the turn signal in the back ground. Is that a bolt that went through both the bracket and turn signal that broke or a cast bolt that is part of the bracket.
