Forgot to mention that I have doc's Esc, put in a new speedo sensor, and I'm also not getting a pulse count ie power to Dakota digital but no speed reading

I think I answered your question in my response to Paul. Fix the speedometer and your self canceling should fix too

My speedo is also new so I guess I should check and make sure I don't have a pinched wire somewhere?

Since you have the ESC,
Check for the following:
- "G" Harness goes to the Speedo. (Remember there is also another JST connector within the speedo housing) The center terminal of "G" Harness connector should have (common) continuity to the Main Module Connector, Terminal/Pin "23" (Pin Numbers marked on Connector)
- "F" Harness goes to the Speedo Sensor. The center terminal of "F" Harness connector should have (common) continuity to the Main Module Connector, Terminal/Pin "24" (Pin Numbers marked on Connector)

fyi: "IF" the bike set still and NO motion in the rear wheel/trans. The signals will "Stay" activated and NOT Self Cancel.
However, w/ motion within the rear tire/trans, detected by the speedo sensor. This tells the controller module: That the bike is now in motion and to deactivate the turn signals. (Self Canceling Signal Operation.)
If the signal cancels, then you issue is elsewhere.
If the signal DOESN'T cancel, then the Speedo Sensor has most-likely gone south.

Thank you for passing along your knowledge. This is why you're the guru and I'm not. Love the bike but seems like it is non stop maintenance. Nature of the beast I guess

As I said I just purchased a new speedo sensor. Hope I didn't get a bad one but I'm lucky like that. Type of guy who falls in the water and comes out with a fish in his mouth

He just copied and pasted from an email. Don't need to give him too much credit!
