Turn signal & horn malfunction

Same old dog, new problem.

Getting ready to go for a ride, turned my ignition on, press the run button on the right hand grip and the yellow, arrow indicator light for the right turn signal comes on. I start the bike, but the light constantly stays on and neither turn signal works, nor the horn. The bike runs great, the brake lights work, the headlight works, the EHC lights representing each turn signal and the horn operate, so I know the fault isn't in the EHC.

Could the problem be in the right, handlebar control?

The first thing I would do is disconnect and clean all the connections at the battery. Ground side first for safety , then positive side. Reconnect positive side and lastly reconnect the ground side. If that fails check the connection on the EHC . Disconnect it and reconnect . You could replace the dielectric grease while your in there. If nothing changes you could then check the rt side circuit brd.
Keep in mind these EHC can be wacky . I had a different issue with mine, it would not pick the starter solenoid. If I would heat the EHC up with a hairdryer first it would crank no problem. Seemed worse on damp mornings. I ultimately replaced it with an ELECTRONIX for piece of mind.
If nothing works Wild Steed Works https://www.wildsteedworx.com/ can help you.

I had issues with my speedo failing and my brake lights intermittently. I pulled the EHC and sent it to Curtis at Wildsteedworks.com. He said the EHC was fine but in the downloads my ignition had over 100K hits. I replaced the ignition switch and that solved my problems, that may be one thing to check on yours.

Mike, I had already performed all the checks previously that you mentioned with no changes. I replaced the original EHC with a new one from Wild Worx 3 years ago, so my suspicion that there is a problem with it is low, which is why I highly suspect the right hand controller.

Unless I'm mistaken, your original description says you had issues with the Rt blinker, Left blinker and the horn. They are controlled on different circuit brds. Boards are very hard to visually see problems on like cracks. Hey you might get lucky.I might take a close look at the tack ring as well. If all fails I would consider aspen874 idea to have Curtis check your EHC before ordering anything. You may get some valuable information from him to help you troubleshoot this problem.
