Turn signal add-on

Just purchased a 06' K9. It has a awesome set of inverted forks. I believe they are 58mm. My question is about front turn signals, it has none so I have to add them as the great state of Georgia says it's the law. I was wondering if any of you guys have ran into this and knows a good fix and also wondering if it matters if the front is filament and the rear is leds.

I also measured the circumference of the tube and came up with 7 1/4 inches. How does this convert to MM.

One of the old ones.
I took a strip of LED's with adhesive back and wired them to the turn signal plug under the tank. The LED strip went under lower fork brace where it can easily be seen. Not as bright as I'd hoped, but has worked out fine. The extended front end exposes the lights nicely.
I got the ones with clear lenses and yellow lights, virtually invisible on chrome under that fork brace.
It's been 6 or 7k miles since, and so far so good.

if you always depend on a machine to do the little things, eventually the machines will be doing your job and you will no longer be needed.

These are the mounts I used on my BDM (link below) when I changed the Triple Trees.
They bolt on to the headlight or use the same mount as the head light. All you have to do is get the Lights from Derek at Bigdogpartsking he has them. Also as him for the harness that goes from under the tank to the front signal lights and you are set. I can send you a picture of my bike this weekend if you want to see what they look like when mounted. I may also have the light housing and harness but I have to look. Check it out maybe this is what you need. Let me know if you want the picture or not.

Hope this helps
