Trying to start but just makes a whizzz sound

Rode the bike last night and pulled into a store... Was kind of in a rush so I coasted in and parked the bike leaving it in 2nd. Left the store bc they were closing and jumped on the bike grabbed the clutch and started back peddling off the curb.. Hit the start and I want to say I heard a small pop and it just go whizz like something is spinning....needless to say I was stuck and a Friend had to come get me with a trailer... We tried to push start her and it almost turned..almost. We were too cold and not enough speed to get her cranked. Any ideas guys???

Possibly a starter Bendix shaft.

Thanks a bunch guys....I bet this is exactly what it is. I went to drop the bike off today and forgot the freaking shop is closed on Mondays (haha)... =( I'm sure this is going to hurt the wallet some.

It's actually a fairly easy job you could do yourself. Could have saved some of that wallet.

Other wise look at $600.00. Been there!!! Also Pay a little more and get a heavy duty spikes or baker!!!!!!
