I was thinking about upgrading to all chrome grips and pegs for ease of polishing (along with looks) but am concerned that sans any rubber they will be more slippery and less safe. Anyone have experience with both to compare?
I have the flame grips and pegs on my bike, no rubber. My boots do slip off sometimes on rough roads, but it's not excessive. Its a small price to pay for not having the rubber get chewed up by your boots or turn the palms of your hands black. The tribal pegs are knurled, so they should be better. I don't know about the tribal, the flame set is chrome grips and aluminum pegs, so you still have to polish the pegs to keep them looking nice.
