Maybe there is a difference between the latex gloves vs the surgical gloves he used

Maybe you guys aren't rubbing long enough and getting done too soon. :oldlaugh:

Thanks for the post Dent. This bike is the first thing I've ever owned with chrome.
Well....thats not chrome that polished aluminum. Haha.

Chrome you don't need to polish just wipe down

I've used the blue ones from an auto store before you don't need a lot of pressure let the billet polish do the work
Im gonna get surgical gloves from the doctor I’m working for give those I try my trees were all scratched from the orginal owner

Well there we go. Guess I should say I haven't had many shiny things. When rebuilding the brakes I did notice that I could put the chrome washers over the wire wheel and they would come out like new. Certainly wouldn't be the same with the aluminum.

Post a pic, you may just need to keep polishing them the more you do it the better it will look until you get it where you want it then it's just simple upkeep also never
Let the sunlight(when not riding ) shine on it when it's in the garage that will dull it back down I let mine cool down after riding and cover it if not with the big dog cover at least a dark colored sheet

That looks like it could come out. As a gun smith I would use Flitz to get little marks like that out of metal. It was usually steel though as on guns aluminum tends to be anodized and coated. But I'm confident Dent has the non-speculative answer.
