Easiest way is to disconnect the battery, and leave the inner primary hooked up to the engine.
Take off the outside primary cover to take off the chain,and clutch assy. Then loosen the bolts to the trans only and then move on to the other side to remove pipes,wires,clutch pushrod etc as needed and let the starter hang.
Make a mark so that you can put the wheel back into alignment before you loosen it and then loosen the rear wheel to get enough slack in the belt to slip it off the trans.
Then remove the 6 bolts that holds the trans to the frame and take special note of where the shims are located between the trans/frame so that you can put them back.
