Transmission drain plug

I hate trying to start the transmission drain plug and was thinking of putting an extension tube in it's place and having a cap for it. The drain appears to be 1/8 inch pipe thread so it would be easy to do. Has anyone else done this or am I missing a reason not to?

It's a once a year change, so you gotta ask "WHY"?????
You have a point but like mountain climbers might say because it's there and I can. It just drives me nuts.. I tried the ball allen but the oil lines make it want to cross thread because of the angle . Just thinking there must be a better way. Thanks For the reply's. If I come up with something safe and easier I will let you know.

If its too low you may catch it on something. Ball head allen wrench may be a better choice.
Once you break it free! It iz a real pain in the azz. I thought about it but I'm afraid of it breaking off while riding so I let it be....

Short pipe nipple. Short length of hose with a ball valve and you are done . Secure the hose/valve out of harms way and you are done. Just a thought
